Your project stays usable outside ACC
Your project files and the document-context records that accompany them remain with you, in your local project and, when connected, your GitHub repository. You can continue working with those materials outside ACC.
Where information lives
| Information | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Project files and accompanying records | Kept with your project, locally and/or in your repository. |
| ACC coordination data | Some data is stored by ACC. Not every record is currently a local file or included in an export. |
| AI-provider processing | Connected AI tools process information needed for their tasks. Their account terms and data policies also apply. |
Export, deletion and localization
The reviewed implementation includes a personal account export and account-deletion requests. The export excludes organization-owned tasks, PRs, reviews and chat turns; it is not a full workspace backup. Deletion completion depends on the configured grace period and an enabled executor. These controls still need verification in the deployed beta. Broader exports and more local storage remain planned. See the export guide and deletion guide for the different scopes.
Check access and visibility
Review repository permissions, connected tools, agent roles and conversation sharing. A private conversation label controls visibility within the product; it is not a claim that no provider processes the information.
What this guide does not promise
ACC is not currently described as storing no data, being entirely local or providing a complete one-click account export. These details will be updated as the data controls are released.
